When planning an event, it’s always fun to play around with place card ideas – it adds a little extra pizazz to your place settings! Think outside when you’re planning and look for inspiration. One of my favorite places to find inspiration when I’ve sorted through what seems like all of Pinterest, is to just go outside or look at nature for inspo. Here I’ve put together a quick list of nature inspired place card ideas for you all, just with items I found around the house and right in my backyard – hope you enjoy and can use these to inspire your planning!
Fruits
If you’re planning a tropical or foodie event – using fruits or vegetables can be a great way to incorporate your theme and some hand lettering into your setting.
You can use limes, lemons, apples, pears – all add a really fresh and colorful flair!
Leafy objects
Now I know you’ve seen quite a few leafy place cards on Pinterest and are looking for a way to do that without copying everyone else, because who wants that?! I found these adorable little lily pads in the yard – spray them with a quick coat of acrylic gloss or mod podge to preserve them. I would suggest doing these closer to your event as possible, just in case. 🙂
Wood or Bark
We have a fallen tree stump in the yard and I was really inspired by the bark that just fell right off! Thought it would be absolutely perfect texture material to use for place cards. Make sure when you’re writing on it, that you test out your materials to find the best writing utensil for the wood. The dark wood and texture beautifully compliment a bright neutral table setting.
Disregard my marker bleed 😛
Hope you’ve found some inspiration in these! Stay tuned for a bit more natural inspiration in an upcoming post from my recent beach weekend trip to the West Coast of Florida!
