Hi all! This week, in response to the release of the second 50 shades movie (females swoon!), I will be putting my very own creative spin on things for a slew of inspiration posts. This is the first of four “Fifty shades of creative inspiration” posts where I will share mood boards for objects, themes and things I see in everyday life that have inspired me in some way or another (made by me, with the help of the lovely humans of pinterest). Feel free to pin and save to get your own creative juices flowing!
First shade: Lemons! This pattern has been following me around everywhere! Excited to do something next month with these tangy fruit!
Shade two: Not only is the agate popping up in home decor, calligraphers from all over are using these jewel-toned beauties in their work.
Shade three: Watercolor madness – takes quite a good amount of practice to master, but this art technique makes everything look dreamy
Shade four: Ugh! – can’t get enough of rose gold and metallics in general! I firmly believe you can mix any metals as long as you do so in moderation!
Shade five: I was inspired to create this board after watching “The Huntsman: Winter’s War”, they visit a dreamy garden in the movie that just gave me all the feels.
Shade six: Refreshing, warm and breezy – How many more weeks of winter???
Shade seven: Did a gallery wall in my old apartment and was actually thinking of doing another in my office at work!
Shade eight: The very inspiration for this entire post! The Fifty Shades Trilogy.
Shade nine: Wedding calligraphy is what actually got me interested in hand-lettering in the first place. When I would look at calligraphers on Pinterest doing there thang, I couldn’t stop pinning and now here I am!
Shade 10: The moon – recently saw a bunch of watercolored moon posts online and thought it was so ethereal.
Shade 11: Next craft on my list for March! Can’t wait to do one of these myself. The problem is: What quote do you choose!?
Shade 12: The last one of the day! Texture, everywhere around me I see textures. From the smoothness of my desk to the fluffy rug on my bedroom floor.
Hope you enjoyed! Stay tuned the rest of this week for the rest of my fifty shades. 😉
