If you’ve been following along this lettering journey for the last year, then I’m sure you had a chance to see my cousin’s bridal shower in December… it was floral inspired and I was able to help add a special touch with a number of hand lettered decor pieces. Now…we come to the end of the planning and the beginning of this marriage road for my cousin Monica and her new hubby JR, and it’s finally time to share details from their perfect zen garden wedding. From table numbers, to place cards, a metallic grid seating chart and welcome sign – every detail was made custom to the bride (my cousin :)) wants and needs!! The wedding was held at Redland Koi Gardens in Homestead, FL, and if you’re looking for a picturesque place for your nuptials in the South Florida area, the garden was the prime location.
Seating Chart
This seating chart was a bit of a creative DIY. We originally purchased a metal grid on Amazon, but decided we didn’t like the color so we used something similar to this and then spray painted it gold. We then added some small binder clips and hand written seating cards with each table’s guests.

Mirrored Glass Card Box
The perfect part about using this style of box is that you can always remove the wording and reuse the box!
Table Numbers
For these, we used rose gold to match some of the other accents in the wedding and some small photo holders from Amazon. These aren’t the exact but very similar!

Royal Table Rosemary Place Cards
When we were in Mexico for the bachelorette party, we came across a drink that had “romero” in it. Come to find out, this is actually rosemary in spanish and the married couple’s last name is Romero! How funny right?! Because of this, the bride wanted to add rosemary into the wedding somehow and these place cards were the perfect fit!
Welcome Sign
A perfect way to welcome wedding guests into the garden!
Ring-bearer Aisle Sign
Inspired by a little Pinterest searching, the ring bearer and flower girl carried this sign down the aisle. They are actually the bride’s godchildren, so this was a perfect, personal way to announce “here comes the bride!”

Guestbook Sign
The couple included a shutterfly book for their guests to sign and this small wooden sign accompanied.

Wedding Hashtag Sign
Anyone remember this sign from the floral bridal shower? (We used it for the photobooth then!), here it told everyone what hashtag to use on social media!
Guest Favor Sign
Because the wedding was on St. Patrick’s day, the couple wanted to do something that involved a whole lot of luck, case in point, lottery scratch offs. ;P I did a simple hand-written sign for instructions.
Other wedding details pre-ceremony and reception!
Before the actual day of events, I created a number of other hand lettered elements for the happy couple, including; Save the date envelopes, invitation envelopes, bridesmaid proposal cards and an insert for their wedding invite that warned female guests to wear the right type of shoes for the venue (this was a digital file that she had printed!).
